Our Story

Rooted in Ranch Life

Our ranching journey began years ago with mini Highland cattle, where we developed a deep appreciation for animal stewardship, land management, and the lifestyle that comes with raising livestock in Southern Colorado.

Discovering Valais

As life evolved and we were introduced to Valais Blacknose sheep, it didn’t take long to recognize something special. Their temperament, personality, and unmistakable appearance quickly captured our attention — and our hearts.

All in on Valais

Before long, we went all in. Today, SoCo Valais focuses exclusively on raising and breeding Valais Blacknose sheep, carefully selecting genetics and nurturing animals that families can truly enjoy and connect with.
